I initially started this blog in the hopes of sharing everyone my weight loss in actual numbers and pictures. But now i might be chickening out! Not because i am embarrassed but because i worry about becoming obsessed with the number and not necessarily the need to become healthy and strong. Isn't that the most important thing anyway?!
I don't even own a scale so i am not even sure how i was supposed to weigh myself regularly. The gym has a scale however i never really know how well that thing really works. As i am contemplating this predicament of to weigh or not to weigh...
i am asking, how many of you have a scale?
And how often do you weight yourself anyway?
I love this picture because this is how i feel sometimes!

I honestly feel like I didn't start freeing myself from the weight until I started sharing where I started. I have a scale and step on it often now that I have reached my goal. In the beginning I weighed myself once a week. There are SO many ways to measure your progress outside of the scale! Get yourself a measuring tape and track inches lost on the first of each month. Take progress pictures on the 1st of each month as well :-)
I have a digital scale that I check every Tuesday. However, I don't hold much stock in it when I am actually exercising regularly. Muscle weighs more than fat, so using the measuring tape is more accurate for results:)
I would say weigh, and get your own scale, doctors and gym scales can be totally off from your own. I just got a cheap digital one. Only weigh yourself once a week and at the same time.
I have a scale and I weigh myself every day. I don't do it to obsess over the number, but I do it to be aware of how my habits are effecting the number. Sometimes it goes up, and that's ok. Aside from the scale, I also measure my physical strength with weighs and yoga and take my measurements every few weeks.
Thanks for linking up at Wonder Wednesday!

I've been on a journey to loose weight also and feel like the scale just discourages me. There are weeks where my clothes fit better and I feel stronger and the number doesn't budge and it makes me feel like I did something wrong. I feel like there are better ways to track your weight loss and fitness level than a number on a scale.
I'm a new follower from the Pink Dandy Blog hop.
I hate to weigh myself, because the numbers never drop fast enough, but I'm obsessed with the number LOL. Thanks for joining in the Planet Weidknecht Weekend Hop! I hope you'll come back again soon.

I weigh myself obsessively and it's not good. It's discouraging. I'm finally back to my pre pregnancy weight and to celebrate, I ate food I liked. In just 4 days I gained 2 pounds!
